I did this  look based on a suggestion ( from my friend who comments as Mungey on here) from last week. I included a short tutorial on how I did my eyes, but I also used a lot of contouring and highlighting for the face, that I will do another tutorial on at a later time.

The Look

I wanted to keep it as something you can wear as a daytime or nighttime look. However, if you want to up the smokiness, you can switch up your base to a darker shade of purple (or even black). Adding false lashes or a more dramatic mascara would also transition this easily into an evening/night time look. I really like the Balm’s shady lady series ( I have all 3 of their palettes and gave one of them to my sis). I used Volume 1 for this look.

I used my cinema secrets palette to contour as well as highlight my face. For a less dramatic contour effect, a matte powder bronzer (like The Balm’s Bahama Mama bronzer) works great.

Video Tutorial

(I actually filmed this twice because the lighting was bad the first time around and I had zoomed it in way too much! Hopefully this one shows enough detail.) Note, that I used a lighter inner lid colour in the photos than I did in the video but the technique stays exactly the same.

Purple is a universally flattering shade, so it’s a really easy colour to play around with. I hope you enjoyed that look :) Have a great week!
