*Warning* Picture-heavy post ahead!
I know it’s fall in the makeup world but it still feel like summer in Montreal – thank goodness! I’ve been on a cream eyeshadow kick of late. They are so easy to apply and I’ve found some great ones that I really like. I’ve loved the Maybelline Tattoo cream shadows since the time they were released and really like their newer Leather collection in this range too.
I’ve also been using a lot of my Buxom eyeshadow that I had mentioned here, as well as my Chanel eyeshadow in Mirage that I mentioned here ! These coupled with some chubby eye pencils (or liquid eyeliner depending on my mood) allow for a variety of looks that are neutral but never boring and I can get a good variety using a couple of these products.
Look 1 : Golds
Since I had this on my instagram this one has the lip and face products that I used too ( the lipstick is Maybelline Summer Sunset) :
I use the Annabelle Liquid eyeliner with this one. All in all, this took about 5 minutes to do ,so I think it makes for a super easy, pulled together look!
Look 2 : Bronze and Khaki
I wanted to try something a little smokier. I used Bold Gold, Mirage and Chocolate Suede for this look and the Sephora Jumbo pencil in brown glitter as the liner. I also lined my lower lash line with Chocolate Suede:
Look 3 : Gold, Bronze and Copper
I wanted something a little more coppery so I used Bold Gold, Bad to the Bronze and Buxom with the NYX liner in Golden Bronze ( ty MsEpiphany:) ), which is actually a beautiful copper colour.
Look 4 : Look3 + a Pop of Purple
This was when I was feeling a little more adventurous and wanted some colour, so I used the same base as in the pic above but used Sephora jumbo pencil in Champs-Elysees ( I don’t see this in stores anymore but there are dupes ) as the liner :
So there you have it – four different looks that are pretty darn easy to achieve with just some cream eye shadows and liner
Chocolate Suede is from the Maybelline Tattoo Leather collection and is a GORGEOUS chocolatey brown with gold flecks. ONe of my new faovurites especially for the outer corner. Bad to the Bronze has been a long time favourit, as has bold Gold. Chanel’s Mirage is such a complex colour – transitions from brown to khaki to olive at times. Unbelievably beautiful colour with an equally beautiful texture! I just pat them on very lightly with my fingers but they can be layered to be as dark as you want! Highly recommend giving any or all of them a try if you haven’t already I mean look at them…they’re so pretty!!
