I know these have been around for a WHILE now, and I’ve  had them for a while now!! Just didn’t get down to comparing them for some reason!

This one is a case of  does the cost justify the ends? I’m going to let the pictures do all the talking, and go into the details of my comparison at the end . You can click on any of the images here to enlarge :

First off here is a comparison of the packaging:

I prefer the overall look and feel of Urban Decay’s packaging.

Comparison of colours and dupes that I used for this look:

I’d say only Buck and Snog from Urban Decay’s palettes don’t have exact dupes in the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette!

Comparison of the pigmentation between the colours I picked ( You can tell very easily that  the shades are practically identical to one another as well!):

Here go the comparisons:

There was no clear winner to me in any of the rounds!

Urban Decay Naked PaletteCoastal Scents Revealed Palette
Price$54 USD ( $64 CAD) . for 12 shadows @ 1.3g each$19.95 USD (22$CAD) for 20 shadows @1.5g each
PackagingIt's narrower than the Revealed Palette and has 12 eyeshadows. The cover/lid for this palette has a velvet finish. It includes a mirror in the cover as well as a brush that applies the shadow rather nicely. It also came with a mini-version of their Primer Potion. The packaging is a bit on the flimsy side, but does the job. Doesn't include a mirror but that didn't make much of a difference to me
Pigmentation There are no duds in the this one. They are all super pigmented! In general, the pigmentation is a tad less than the Urban Decay ones, but overall pretty good. However there are a few shades that are sheerer than expected.
TextureSuper smooth all across the board here. If I had to pick on a shade I'd say Creep has some fallout but it's so dark and has some glitter, so that's to be expected I suppose! The shades that are dupes for the UD shades are really smooth , but overall not AS smooth as the UD ones. However, they definitely don't feel cheap or chalky.
Staying PowerAfter 10 hours, Half- Baked showed some uneven fading, but the other colours that I had used looked exactly the same as when I first applied them. 10 hours later, #8 looked LESS faded than UD's half baked - go figure!! None of the other colours had faded even a tiny bit on this one either!

I’m a big fan of Urban Decay and their shadows are generally amazing, and the Naked Palette is no different. HOWEVER, Coastal Scents has really outdone itself with the dupes on this one. Very comparable at less than half the price, and only 2 of the colours from the Naked Palette don’t have EXACT matches! SO, if you don’t mind 1 or 2  duds in there and are just looking for a cheaper alternative to the Naked Palette, I think this might be the best  alternative out there!

Happy Sunday everyone (& Happy Easter if you’re celebrating it!).
