How has your luck been with drugstore products?  Mine has been pretty darn good ( for the most part..there’s always the occasional bad egg!). Before I started my blog, I used to read every possible review out there before I bought anything  – so I put it down to  me doing my research , but the trend continued even after I started my blog ( and was reading less reviews before I bought anything in the spirit of not being biased about  my reviews).  I took a chance on a couple of things recently and they’ve worked out really well! Since I’m going to be away for a couple of weeks starting next Friday I thought I may as well do my Drugstore Deelights for the month while I’m still here!

Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Glosses (#03,#04,#12)

I’m sorry i couldnt get the colours to show up right but they look most like this  in person :

At 5.99$  each, These are super comfortable, moisturizing glosses. They don’t wear  long ( around 2 hours or so on me) but are very easy to re-apply and make my lips feel smooth and almost line-free:). They’re such a steal at this price. They remind me of a less pigmented version of Maybelline’s Color Sensational Glosses that I really enjoy.

(excuse the other swatches please – I found a dupe for Mac’s Black Olive in my stash – its Sephora’s Diving in Malaysia !)

Luminous is the least pigmented of the lot but looks lovely as a layering gloss. Red My Lips is the most pigmented. It looks like this :

And I’m wearing Mauve Fetish here:

Just noticed that Karen’s actually reviewed all the shades here! I love seeing how the same colour can look totally different on someone else!

Loreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation ( 210 Sun Beige)

I loved the texture of the concealer when I tested it but they didn’t have it my shade ( the darkest they had was Medium) so I took a chance on the foundation. It was around $16 CAD, but has the texture of a foundation a couple times that! I was so pleasantly surprised with this one.  Word of warning: if you have oily skin or even combination skin you  might hate this. If you’re allergic to silicones you might hate this! I  however have super dry skin and my skin *loves* it. It goes on so smooth. If I had to describe it, the texture is like a creamier , whipped  version of the Chanel Aqualumiere foundation !! It’s just super creamy. The lasting power is not great on its own, but with a setting powder its worked out just fine for me.  They also have blushes in this line that The Muse reviewed a while back.

Loreal Telescopic Mascara ( Carbon Black)

Oldie but a goodie. I used to love this when it first came out but have since “diversified”. I must have felt nostalgic when I spotted it again because I did end up buying it.  I wanted to try it again to see if I still love it , and yes , yes I do! It  lengthens my lashes nicely and doesn’t flake or smudge! I’m wearing it  in the pic above and you can see it clearer here ( also wearing Mauve Fetish on my lips):

It’s nice to mix things up – so  I temper my Tom Ford and YSL binges with some Drugstore DEElights 😉  Have you had any luck with any of  your recent drugstore hauls? Any DEElights? Any DEEtests? :)

P.S:  I’ll be away  @ Thousand Islands over the weekend to visit my sister-in-law  so I’ll wish you a great weekend in advance:)  Sorry about the infrequent posts – this week has been really busy at work ( as will next week :s) . I promise to be back with my  haul part duh very soon  tho!
